Crazy Week

This week has been a crazy one. My daughter was ill. There is a wedding planned for my brother in early August (Indian weddings require a boatload of preparations :) ). Euro12 is keeping me up till 3am. Most importantly, I am thinking about DA2. We have rewritten new code, designed a completely new user-interface and are nearing the completion of Phase 1 of the new DeskAway version (DA2). I will post images of the new design in a week or two once we get everything finalized.

In the meantime, I wanted to share 5 DA2 facts…

1. We are planning to call it DeskAway2.

2. It’s going to have a clean, uncluttered, friendly user-interface. Seriously, I am seeing it right now, and it is going to rock! We believe that business software should be simple, easy and fun to use. This is just that.

3. This new version will also be a project collaboration tool and not just a task management tool like Trello and Asana. The problem with current apps is that you keep filling in tasks, and at the end it just becomes one big list that is overwhelming to look at. We are applying a different spin to this - DA2 will help people focus on what matters. Our software will be simpler, faster, cleaner and smarter.

4. There will be prebuilt workflows for marketing teams to manage online marketing projects. This means you can get up and running quickly.

5. You will be able to generate beautiful reports and impress your clients.

In the coming weeks, I will share our new logo (work in progress) and screenshots of the new user-interface :) Personally, I love helping people become more productive with the use of technology and this version is going to nail collaboration in teams.
