Startup Fitness

Exercise and fitness is as important as growing and scaling your business. I think most startup founders forget that they need to also give enough time to themselves. It is like driving a car and not stopping to refuel (ideally refueling would be relaxing but here I am considering exercise as a way to relax both your mind and body).

An hour everyday should be set aside for some sort of a sport, exercise or yoga. Keeps your mind alive and your energy levels high. Plus, it is a good break from what you are currently doing. Maybe, once you get back to it you might have new ideas that did not seem to exist before.

How do I keep fit?

  • Yoga 3 times a week in the morning.
  • Tennis 2-3 times week (Saturday and Sunday evenings devoted to tennis).
  • Golf once a week if I have the time (on a Saturday I am not playing tennis or early in the morning on Thursday). 6:30am tee-off.
  • Swim on Saturday mornings if I am not playing tennis that evening.

If I didn't do this, I think I would be burnt out by now.
